Key Bible Verses for the Christian Life

One of the features of God’s Word, the Bible, is that it is a guidebook for Christians who want to live God’s way. By meditating on Scripture verses and learning them from memory, you can carry parts of this guidebook with you all the time.

Following is a list of key verses for Christian living, in three categories: Understanding God, Understanding My Relationship to God, and Understanding My Relationships with Others. From these lists, choose verses that help you where you are right now in your Christian life, and begin to memorize them one at a time.

You’ll find that memorizing comes quickly and easily when you read the verse several times a day. Print it out, and tape it where you will see it often–the dashboard of your car, your notebook, your mirror, your desk, your refrigerator. And remember this short list of verses is just to get you started as you make the Bible an important part of your life through memorization.
